President Reuven Rivlin today visited the Etzion Hebrew Studies Studio of the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem. During his visit, the President received the Jewish Agency's report, which presents data on immigration to Israel since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis and preparations for coming years.

The Jewish Agency estimates that a quarter-million immigrants are expected to arrive in Israel within five years. Ten- to fourteen-thousand Jews are waiting for immigration in Ethiopia, and their immigration will be spread over several years.

According to the report, there has been a dramatic jump in the number of people interested in immigrating to Israel, along with a slowdown in the rate of immigration in the first half of 2020 due to coronavirus restrictions.
