The passing of law professor Ruth Gavison is being mourned by Itim, The Jewish Life Advocacy Center that works toward making Israel's religious extablishment more inclusive.
"Her widespread efforts helped bridge the gap between the various religious and secular factions. The foundations she laid will continue to guide those who wish to connect the various sectors of Israeli society and to improve the relationship between the religious and civil aspects of Israeli life.
"Her voice will be missed," an Itim representative lamented.
