UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Nickolay Mladenov, has congratulated Israel and the UAE on their reaching a peace agreement.
"This halts Israeli annexation, something that the UN opposes," he said. "I hope that this creates an opening for a peace accord between Israel and Palestine."
