The United Kingdom is having some of its hottest weather in decades, The Guardian reports, with temperatures above 34C for six consecutive days.
Such a prolonged hot spell hasn't been recorded since 1961, and is being accompanied by thunderstorm warnings and predictions of heavy rain.
