MDA medics who arrived at the scene of the fire in an apartment in the Geula neighborhood of Jerusalem determined the death of the man in his 30s who was extricated from the apartment without vital signs.
MDA paramedic Hogla Erez said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw fire and thick smoke coming out of an apartment on the ground floor of the building. Firefighters operated at the scene, and after it was possible they entered the apartment, where he was found and brought out to us, a man in his 30s, unconscious, with a lot of burns and smoke inhalation. We performed medical tests, he was without signs of life and we had to determine his death on the spot."
