Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn (Blue & White) has expressed his satisfaction at the decision of the police to open an investigation into allegedly incendiary statements made by convicted murderer Yona Avrushmi.
"I welcome the decision of the state prosecution to authorize the police to open an investigation, following various statements made by Yona Avrushmi," Nissenkorn said. "His words serve to remind us how deeply such incitement has permeated our society. It is our duty to do everything in our power to prevent the next political assassination - this is precisely what we are fighting for."
