'Override Clause' bill defeated in the Knesset

The Knesset voted Wednesday to reject the 'Override Clause' bill proposed by the Yamina party.

The bill, which was drafted by Ayelet Shaked, failed in its preliminary vote in the Knesset plenum.

Likud MKs were absent from the vote.

The bill, if passed, would enable the Knesset to reinstate laws overturned by the Supreme Court.
