Defense Minister Benny Gantz has announced the provision of aid packages to the local authorities in Ein Mahil and Modi'in Illit, including a budget for information campaigns, setting aside of places in coronavirus hotels, and transportation to and from the hotels.

The Home Front Command also plans to enhance its preparations in Ein Mahil in advance of the Eid al-Adha festival, and will begin a pilot program entitled "Security and Welfare" in Modi'in Illit that has already been put into practise in Jerusalem.

The intention is to remove these two towns from the "red list" of locations in which coronavirus transmission is particularly high, while assisting residents who are obliged to quarantine in special hotels as well as others in home isolation.
