Responding to criticism from Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn regarding her submission of the Override Clause to the Knesset, to be voted on this Wednesday, MK Ayelet Shaked accused the Blue & White party (of which Nissenkorn is a member) of chutzpah.
"After Blue & White positioned itself under the slogan, 'No seats - we're not interested,' they have the chutzpah to preach at this bloated government - as if they are really interested in the economy," she scoffed. "After all your failures at dealing with the coronavirus crisis, you can save your slogans for someone else. The Override Clause doesn't harm democracy," she concluded, referencing a Supreme Court ruling dating back to 1996 when Aharon Barak was Supreme Court President.
