The government has authorized the request of Communications Minister Yoaz Hendel asking for millions of shekels to be invested in distance learning and the necessary equipment to enable it.
"We wish to encourage distancing learning, distance working, and distance medical treatment," Hendel tweeted. "But it's impossible to achieve that if the government does not provide the necessary budgeting. Such infrastructure is something that the coronavirus epidemic has made a necessity, and we plan to collaborate with the Education Ministry in order to push this forward."
