Opposition leader Yair Lapid responded to Prime Minister Netanyahu's remarks at the cabinet meeting, calling on him to resign.
"Bibi, no one's being flexible with them and no one's asking you either. A demonstration is a fundamental right of citizens in a democracy. You're failing to manage the crisis. You failed to deal with unemployment and the self-employed because you've been dealing with your tax benefits and your criminal cases.
"You've disengaged from the public and lost its faith. Your only way to make these demonstrations stop is to resign," Lapid said.
