Diaspora Affairs Minister Omer Yankelevitch has condemned the violence at recent protests in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
"Violence is despicable and something that has to be stopped," she said. "There is no difference whether it is directed against left or right wingers, haredim or Arabs - and when it is directed against police officers who are simply doing their jobs, or consists of threats to the life of the Prime Minister and his family [it is particularly despicable]. Violence is a red line and even if it is permitted to demonstrate, violence must not be permitted."
