MK Hauser asks gov't to shorten quarantine from 14 to 12 days

MK Tzvi Hauser, head of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, has requested of the government's coronavirus project manager, Professor Ronni Gamzu, that he shorten the period of quarantine imposed on people who have come into contact with confirmed coronavirus carriers.

Currently, quarantine is fixed at 14 days; Hauser proposes that the period be shortened to 12 days.

"The risk to health is minimal, but the damage done to citizens and the economy is significant," Hauser said. "With each additional day of work lost, the Israeli economy loses money for nothing. I urge the government to act swiftly to remedy the situation."
