The Temple Mount Heritage Foundation, along with 15 regular visitors to the Mount, have submitted a petition to the Supreme Court, asking that Jews be permitted to pray on the Temple Mount. Currently, Jews are not permitted to pray on the Mount and anyone even suspected of trying to pray is removed from the site.
The petition asks that blanket permission to pray on the Temple Mount be granted, yet also suggests that police determine certain days and locations on the Mount when and where prayers will be permitted.
