Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman MK Zvi Hauser is holding a discussion this morning on PA takeover of Area C.
"C is a letter in English. The territory is first and foremost a constitutive territory of Jewish civilization. It's not for nothing that in the framework of the Oslo Accords Israel insisted on maintaining civilian and military control over this territory.
"And it seems that the State of Israel has forgotten even the basic knowledge of the founding fathers of the Oslo Accords, according to evidence accumulating on my desk. Israel insists on its right to military control but there's great concern that it's turning a blind eye to its duty deriving from civilian control. The phenomenon is not new, it crosses government offices and government structures."
