Shas MK Yaakov Margi said before the Knesset debate on the use of water cannons at demonstrations: "What happened that you woke up all of a sudden? Water cannons have been used by the police for many years and I recommend that you wait with the discussion on water cannons for the sake of an effective discussion until the police aim it at the stinking skunk itself. Is this double morality or color blindness?"
