Internal Security Minister Amir Ohana commented on the wave of protests: "Demonstrations against the government have always been and always will be, that's fine. But we forbid people to hold cultural shows, pray, and do what they do routinely, to prevent the virus from spreading. So the virus is so smart that it knows how to differentiate those from a demonstration?"
In a Reshat Bet interview, Minister Ohana added, "Roadblocks that have become fashionable are also part of the violence against the public. I'm concerned about the hatred I see in the air. I personally have the impression there's a high probability it'll end in blood."
