Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is having a discussion on the defense budget with Defense Minister Benny Gantz, Finance Minister Yisrael Katz, the IDF Chief of Staff, the head of the National Security Council, directors of the ministries, and other parties.
Netanyahu instructed the Finance Ministry, together with the security forces, the National Security Council, and the Prime Minister's Office to locate budgetary sources for an addition of NIS 3.3 billion to the defense budget to finance the IDF's day-to-day operations, the Gaza barrier, and other critical areas.
Prime Minister Netanyahu stressed the importance of enabling the defense establishment to maintain stability in the face of security challenges in the many arenas surrounding Israel.
