PM Netanyahu met this morning with Alternate PM Gantz, Finance Minister Yisrael Katz and Economy Minister Peretz to determine the model for distribution of the grants.
It was determined that the grants will be distributed to all Israeli citizens, except those who earn more than NIS 640,000 per year, as well as senior public sector employees who earn more than NIS 30,000 per month.
An individual defined in the following populations will receive an increased grant: Nursing allowance, disability allowance, guaranteed income, needy new immigrants (two years in the country), unemployed over 67, elderly recipients of income supplement.
The amount of distributed grant money will amount to 6 billion shekels.
