The ministerial team examining the need for Shabak tracking in the fight against coronavirus headed by the Minister of Intelligence, Eli Cohen, will convene today at 11:00 am for a special discussion on the issue.

Among the issues on the agenda that will be discussed: the level of effectiveness of Shabak tools for monitoring coronavirus infection chains. Preparedness for the launch of the Magen 2 application, the complementary components and the concept of operating the alternative to Shabak tools.

The committee was established following the Shabak law, which was approved by the Knesset, according to which the Shabak will take part in helping to reduce the spread of the corona, and a committee will be set up to examine the continued use of Shabak and report to the government on its recommendations.
