MK Betzalel Smotrich (Yamina) has added his voice to those condemning MK Eli Avidar (Yisrael Beytenu) for his explosive attack on deputy Attorney-General Raz Nezri at today's coronavirus committee meeting. Avidar reportedly yelled at Nezri, "You should be ashamed of yourself. You're not a politician - what are you doing here?"
"The explosive attack of Eli Avidar on Raz Nezri was absolutely shameful," he said. "We can disagree and argue, but only in a respectful manner."
Smotrich added that, "Nezri works day and night, literally, in order to help the government in its battle against the epidemic. He doesn't deserve to be treated in such a manner. Avidar brought the Knesset into disrepute and I hope that the Knesset's ethics committee will put him in his place."
