Minister for Heritage and Jerusalem Affairs Rafi Peretz has defended the deputy Attorney-General, Raz Nezri, following MK Eli Avidar's explosive comments deriding him at a committee meeting earlier today.
"I know Raz Nezri well - I know him to be a man of ethical values whose word is his bond. He is a loyal public servant who always has the public good in mind. MK Avidar's outburst against him was shameful, full of baseless hatred, and worthy of all condemnation. Every Knesset member from across the spectrum should condemn this attack. We are close to Tisha b'Av [the anniversary of the destruction of the Temple -ed.] so let's reduce the level of hatred in the country," he concluded.
