The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported the largest daily increase in confirmed coronavirus cases to date.
The number of reported cases rose by 237,743 in the last 24 hours, with the majority of cases reported from the United States, Brazil, India, and South Africa.
Almost 600,000 people across the world have died of coronavirus-related complications so far, according to data from John Hopkins University.
