Former Mossad chief Danny Yatom has alleged that the current government has "lost control" of the coronavirus epidemic.
"[Politicians are] making political calculations, [engaging] in ego contests, failing to locate areas of high levels of contagion, and failing to break the chains of transmission," Yatom accused. "All this results in a failure to defeat this virus."
He then added that, "Bibi [PM Netanyahu], after a long delay, has finally announced the appointment of a director to oversee the government's response, and has given him the authority he needs. But [the government should have restricted itself to] shutting down the areas of high levels of contagion, and left out the beaches and restaurants."
