US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the UN had found "yet more harrowing evidence of Venezuelan human rights violations by the illegitimate Maduro regime, citing more than 1,300 extrajudicial political executions in 2020 alone."
Pompeo urged "international pressure [against the regime to continue] until the Venezuelan people could reclaim their democracy."
