President Reuven Rivlin has attacked a statement made by MK Idan Roll (Yesh Atid-Telem) that encouraged people not to abide by the government's regulations designed to curb the transmission of coronavirus, in the event that the government decides on additional closures.
"We are all together in our battle to cope with the coronavirus," Rivlin tweeted. "A call to citizens not to adhere to the guidelines damages our democracy ... and the fundamental laws that ensure our safety and stability, especially at this time of crisis. I appeal to our leaders, both in the coalition and the opposition, to be careful with their words."
