Face masks will become obligatory in all indoor public spaces in France within the next few weeks, The Guardian reports.
President Emmanuel Macron announced the move in an interview today, Bastille Day, noting that there are "signs that the virus is returning somewhat here and there."
Masks had already been ruled obligatory on public transportation and recommended in stores.
