Minister for Higher Education Zeev Elkin (Likud) has expressed sharp criticism of the government's decision to "prematurely" reopen the economy following what is being called the "first wave" of the coronavirus epidemic.
"Everyone who is fighting to have the economy reopened will find reality striking in the end," he told Galei Tzahal. "We can't outwit this virus."
