JCubed Communications reported that marine biologists at the U. of Haifa have noticed unusually large jellyfish along Israel's Mediterranean coast this summer.
The change can be attributed to an increasingly rainy winter, resulting in additional nutrients in the water and other natural factors.
Scientists don't believe the coronavirus has played a role in the development.
