The World Health Organization has announced that it will be sending a team to China to investigate the causes of the coronavirus epidemic, The Guardian reports. China has agreed to cooperate with the WHO after refusing to allow an independent inquiry to proceed.
Chinese officials have stressed that they have full faith in the WHO as a professional body, in contrast to US President Donald Trump who has criticized the WHO for failing to adequately deal with the epidemic and for allowing China to dictate its actions.
