The US stock exchange reached a trading record despite a reported 49,000 additional CV-19 cases in the country on Sunday.
While the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1.4%, the Nasdaq Composite Index gained 1.5% setting a record intraday high.
President Trump noted the economy's positive surge, tweeting, "NASDAQ HITS ALL TIME HIGH!"
