Following the Defense Minister's instructions, two additional coronavirus hotels were opened today. One hotel is located in Tel Aviv, and is primarily designated for foreign workers. The other hotel is in Nir Etzion, designated for the haredi population.
Defense Minister Gantz has also ordered more hotels to be set aside for patients in isolation, and two are expected to open in the next few days, at least one of which will be set aside for haredim.
As of today, 1,463 people are being house in coronavirus hotels, and within a few days their combined capacity should rise to 2,000 beds.
