MK Lapid: Restrictions should account for size of space concerned

Opposition head MK Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid-Telem) has attacked the government's new regulations designed to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

"50 people in a Nokia factory and 50 people in a social hall - it's not the same level of danger," he wrote on Twitter. "There's no logic in a restriction that limits 50 people to one space. The restrictions should have been made according to the size of the place under concern, but no one in this lazy government can be bothered to get down to work. All they're doing is legislating the next economic crisis for hundreds of thousands of people. They're cut off from reality - and we're fed up with them," he added.
