At the conclusion of the officers' course today, the IDF's Chief of Staff, Aviv Kochavi, slammed Mohammed Bakri, the Arab Israeli producer of Jenin, Jenin, a 2002 movie portraying Israeli soldiers operating in Judea and Samaria in the midst of Operation Protective Wall as war criminals.

Kochavi said that the movie hurt the image of soldiers who gave their lives fighting to protect Israel. He said the army was sent in after "waves of terrorists targeted Israeli civilians" and that the IDF fought these same terrorists as they "hid in the safety of their living rooms and children's bedrooms."
