Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn and Minister for Social Equality Meirav Cohen (both of the Blue & White party) both participated in the LGBT "pride" rally held this evening in Independence Park in Jerusalem.
"I came here this evening to the Jerusalem Pride Event," Nissenkorn said. "The battle of the LGBT community is one of the most important and most justified there is. This is a battle for equality, for freedom, for tolerance, and for acceptance, and sometimes, it's even a battle for life itself. The achievements of the pride community are achievements for Israeli society as a whole. The Blue & White party and the Justice Ministry that I head are obligated to [advance their interests]."
