The Knesset Constitution Committee is discussing extending emergency regulations to declare closures and restrictions in cities and neighborhoods in accordance with infection rates. Chairman MK Yaakov Asher said: "My feelings are hard. This law creates stigmas for different cities."
Elad Mayor Yisrael Porush said: "I asked the Health Minister what the benefit of the closure is for the city? How does it prevent illness? He told me it's not in his hands. They defamed an entire city and told us nothing about what will happen the day after the closure." His remarks were brought on Kan News.
