Meirav Sharet is in charge of the coronavirus taskforce in the coastal city of Ashdod. In an interview aired on Galei Tzahal, she commented on the restrictions imposed on the city designed to bring the epidemic under control.
"Ashdod's residents are cooperating," she noted. "But the relaxation of restrictions has led to less people adhering to the guidelines, just as we are seeing across the country."
Sharet added that, "We started preparing for the epidemic's second wave back in April already - we didn't wait for the numbers to rise."
