The Knesset's 'Coronavirus Cabinet' is expected to approve a measure increasing the fine for failing to wear a face covering in public spaces outside of one's home.
The decision is also expected to allow local municipalities to close businesses in lieu of health safety violations. Municipalities are to be allowed to collect fine money.
