Health Minister Yuli Edelstein has been in consultation with senior members of his ministry regarding the recent rise in the number of coronavirus cases.
"The contact tracing law is very important," Edelstein stated afterward. "It's better for the information to be in the hands of the ISA [Shabak] than in the hands of a private company with who-knows-what ulterior motives. We are currently in critical days and we have to do what we can to break the chain of contagion, using contact tracing among other means. It is very important to flatten the curve while keeping the economy running."
