Meretz MK Tamar Zandberg, who led the fight for legalization as chairman of the Knesset Drugs Committee, congratulates the decision of the Ministerial Committee to promote decriminalization.
"There's no logical reason that in 2020 cannabis consumers should be considered delinquents. When we started this fight we were called derogatory names and scoffed at, but like any right fight - when you neither give up nor fear, in the end you also win. Today is an important step on the road to victory," she added.
