Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi has commended the US government for its passage of the Caesar Act, which comes into force today.
The Caesar Act targets those who support the Syrian Assad regime, both individuals and companies, applying sanctions and increasing pressure on Assad to come to the negotiating table regarding his country's future.
