British health authorities have reported that 184 people died of coronavirus in the last day. A further 1,115 people were diagnosed with the virus in the last 24 hours for a total of 299,251 so far.
So far, 42,153 people have died of Covid-19 in the UK, making it the fifth hardest-hit country in the world.
