MK Betzalel Smotrich (Yamina) intends to oppose the government's plan to grant tax breaks to aid societies providing assistance to Palestinians. The plan is being spearheaded by Finance Minister Yisrael Katz and Smotrich will be attending tomorrow's Finance committee meeting in order to express his opposition.
"The Palestinian Authority stops security coordination with Israel, imposes financial sanctions on its own citizens in order to incite to violence - and in response, Finance Minister Yisrael Katz wants to extend tax breaks to the Palestinians. If it wasn't so sad it would be funny," Smotrich wrote on Twitter.
"I will be there tomorrow to fight against this folly and I urge the members of the coalition to join me and oppose the approval of the tax exemptions," he added.
