The Governor of the Bank of Israel, Amir Yaron, has set up a special committee to recommend a new appointee to the directorate of the Bank of Israel, following the announcement of Hezi Kalo that he intends to resign on September 15, 2020, after 12 years in his position.
Heading the committee will be the deputy governor, Andrew Abir. Other members will include attorney Tida Shamir, the Bank's legal adviser; Maxine Passberg; and Professor Tzvika Ekstein, dean of Sapir College.
