The government committee for constitutional matters has given its approval to a draft regulation for electronic monitoring of people suspected of committing acts of domestic violence.
Reshet Kan Bet reports that the proposal was brought forward by MK Keren Barak (Likud), according to which it will be permitted to monitor anyone who has a court order against him/her, with the device issuing a warning if the terms of the distancing order are breached, without need for a physical order of restraint to be issued by the police.
