Head of the Doctors' Union, Professor Hagai Levin, told Reshet Bet that, "The increase that we are seeing in the number of coronavirus patients was entirely to be expected."

He noted that, "This is what we're seeing in other countries too. The way to deal with this is not to get everyone scared, but rather to work together with the public and provide practical solutions."

Levin added that, "We should be trying to identify the virus hotspots and cracking down there. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated professional team that learned the right lessons from the first outbreak here. It is incredibly frustrating to see this continued failure to invest in the public health system."
