To mark the beginning of Pride Month, President Reuven Rivlin met today with members of the "Aguda" (an association representing LGBTQ people) to discuss the first "Municipal LGBTQ Index" produced by the Aguda, measuring how "LGBTQ-friendly" cities around Israel are.
Top of the list was Tel Aviv, followed by Rishon Letzion and then Givatayim.
"Humanity as a whole must understand, and Israelis must understand ... that there is no disease here, and so there is no need for treatment ... Enough of talking about conversion therapy. There is no need for someone who is absolutely healthy to receive treatment ... I want to stress that all conversion therapies must be taken off the social agenda in Israel."
