Chairman of the Jewish Agency Yitzhak Herzog has stated that, "We estimate that around 250,000 new immigrants will arrive in Israel in the next three to five years."
Speaking at the Diaspora Conference sponsored by Makor Rishon, Herzog told the newspaper's editor-in-chief Haggai Segal that, "We are seeing a huge number of applicants. We are seeing an increase of almost 40% from English-speaking countries because of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as an increase of 70% from France and French-speaking countries."
