With Prime Minister Boris Johnson's popularity declining, news that the country's test-and-trace system won't be functioning properly until September or even later won't be welcome for the UK government.
Tony Prestedge, who is running the NHS program has told his staff that for the time being, contact tracing will be "imperfect." The Guardian notes that PM Johnson had previously promised that the system would be up and running by June 1.
