Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert stated today that Binyamin Netanyahu was being tried "like a head of organized crime," prompting outrage from Likud officials.
"It is absolutely astounding that former prisoner Ehud Olmert is now handing out advice on ethics," their statement read. "The only thing Olmert ever did was give up the Western Wall."
Olmert was convicted on charges of fraud, breach of trust, and tax evasion in 2015. His proposed "peace plan" included placing Jerusalem's Old City, including the Western Wall, under international control.
